At Fields Mind-Body Therapies, I believe healing isn’t just about easing sore muscles or calming stress - it’s about helping your whole being feel safe, free, and alive again. One of the most powerful tools I use in this process is SomatoEmotional Release (SER), taught through the Upledger Institute.
You may already know that your body stores stress. But it also holds onto old emotions, traumas, and experiences that you might not even realize are still weighing you down. These can show up as pain, tension, fatigue, or even that sense of being “stuck” in life.
What is SomatoEmotional Release?
SomatoEmotional Release is a gentle mind-body therapy that combines CranioSacral Therapy with guided dialogue and awareness. The goal is to give your body a safe space to let go of old emotional patterns and restrictions. Sometimes these patterns are the hidden roots of physical pain or ongoing stress.
In an SER session, you might experience:
Deep relaxation as your nervous system calms down.
Insights or memories that rise to the surface in a safe, supported way.
A sense of release , like your body is finally exhaling something it’s carried for far too long.
New clarity, emotional lightness, or simply more freedom in your body.
The process is not about me “fixing” you, it’s about creating a supportive environment where your own Inner Physician (your body’s deep wisdom) can do the healing.
